On April 25th of 2018, at Saint Peter’s Square in the Vatican City, by way of the film Sermon on the Mount,

Pope Francisco and Buddhist priest Daehae manifested the common will for religious harmony,

world peace and happiness of humanity. The meeting of Pope Francisco with Venerable Daehae was pre-arranged by Embassy of Korean and the Holy See.

Pope Francis announced a special message praying for the success of Inter-Korean Summit, addressing

“On April 27th, in Panmunjom, there will be an inter-Korean summit to be attended by the leaders of the two Koreas,

Mr. Moon Jae-in and Mr. Kim Jong-un.

This meeting will be a good opportunity to secure peace in the Korean peninsula and in the whole world.” Immediately after this speech, Pope Francis received Venerable Daehae. 

Venerable Daehae gave her film Sermon on the Mount in DVD to Pope Francis, mentioning

“I made a movie based on Sermon on the Mount of Jesus Christ.

This movie proposed a way of which humankind can live in religious harmony and world peace enjoying beauty and green life forever.

Since I think that my movie message is same as your will, I would like to give this movie to you.”
